HOPs Binder for your student's organization
The HOPs binder is meant to help your student keep organized. Students have so much work that it can be hard to keep tack of. The HOPs binder is a system that can help you and your student keep track of school work.
The HOPs binder is divided into 6 sections by pocket folders:
Orange - Homework (To Do/To Turn In)
Purple - English
Blue -Social Studies
Red - Math
Green - Science
Yellow - Electives
Students should place homework assigned in the "To Do" side of the orange folder. Once the assignment has been completed it should be placed in the "To Turn In" pocket. When the student opens their homework folder at the beginning of class, the assignment can be easily found.
The Orange Folder should be the first folder to go into the binder. The other colors should be placed in the order of your student's schedule. For instance, if first period is Math then Red should go behind the Orange folder. If English is second period, then red should follow, and so on.
6th grade Home Team teachers will walk students through setting up their binders correctly in the first week of school.
